To help us resolve issues faster, please include:
- What you were trying to do and what happened instead.
- Your device(s) and OS versions (for example, “MacBook Air on macOS 14.5, iPhone 15 on iOS 17.5”).
- Your Klipt app version (Mac: Klipt → About Klipt; iPhone: Settings inside the app).
- On Mac, you can use Settings → Copy Diagnostics to grab a quick summary — it includes app version, OS version, feature flags, and item counts, but never your clipboard contents.
Getting started
Klipt is two apps that work together: a clipboard manager on your Mac and a companion app on your iPhone. They sync automatically through your own private iCloud — there's no account to create and no pairing code.
- Install Klipt on your Mac and on your iPhone.
- Make sure both devices are signed into the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive turned on.
- Copy something on your Mac, then open Klipt on your iPhone — your history appears automatically.
Frequently asked questions
My Mac clipboard isn't showing up on my iPhone.
Sync runs over your private iCloud, so a few things need to be in place:
- Both devices are signed into the same Apple Account.
- iCloud Drive is enabled on both devices (Settings → [your name] → iCloud).
- The Mac app is running and clipboard tracking is on (it's not paused).
- Both devices have a working internet connection. New copies usually appear within a few seconds, but iCloud can take longer on a slow or congested network.
If items still don't appear, quit and reopen both apps, and make sure iCloud isn't out of storage.
Images aren't loading on my iPhone.
To keep the list fast and save data, images download on demand — tap an image clip to fetch the full version. This requires an internet connection and available iCloud storage.
How do I send something from my iPhone to my Mac?
Type or paste it into the Klipt app and tap Send, or use the Share sheet from any app (Safari, Photos, Notes, Mail) and choose Klipt. The item lands in your Mac's clipboard history. Photos are automatically downsized before sending.
Do you ever see my clipboard data?
No. Klipt has no servers and no account system. Your clipboard data stays on your devices and inside your own private iCloud container — we have no technical way to access it. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual items in either app, or remove everything by deleting the apps and clearing the app's iCloud data in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Because your data lives only in your iCloud, you're always in control.
What are the system requirements?
Klipt requires macOS 14 or later and iOS 17 or later.
Is Klipt affiliated with Apple?
No. Klipt is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc.
